•  What is faceLITE LED Face Mask?

  faceLITE is a flexible, portable, home use mask that uses light emitting diodes (LED) to bathe the skin in light. faceLITE uses the same clinically proven technology as its sister company Omnilux; the global market leaders in Medical LED technology.

•  How does faceLITE LED treatment work?

  faceLITE uses proven wavelengths of light; 633nm red light and 830nm or near infra-red light. These wavelengths have been shown in studies to stimulate collagen and elastin production and help to improve blood flow and tissue oxygenation through a process called photobiomodulation. These effects help skin cells absorb topical skincare products more effectively and helps reverse the effects of the aging process. Take a look at the clinically proven results.

  faceLITE has been designed to deliver light directly to the skin, ensuring that the maximum amount of light hits its cellular targets and is not wasted.

•  Is it safe?

  faceLITE has been tested and is compliant to international safety standards. Since the mask doesn’t cover the eyes; eye protection isn’t necessary.

•  Is the faceLITE treatment painful?

  No pain should be felt whilst using faceLite. The light penetrates the skin and stimulates the cells to work in a natural way. faceLITE is non-invasive and there is no heat and therefore the treatment is completely pain free.

•  Who is suitable for faceLITE?

  DO NOT use faceLITE if you are taking any medication that can cause photosensitivity, have a photosensitive disorder or are pregnant or breast feeding. Photosensitivity (sensitization to light) is a common side effect of various medications and some herbal remedies. A List of medication can be found HERE.

  Since faceLITE generates no heat, most people are suitable but there is a list of contraindications that should be referred to by anyone who is thinking of having a faceLITE treatment. View list of contraindications.

•  What results can I expect?

  Fine Lines & Wrinkles

  After 3 Treatments per week for 4 weeks; up to 41% reduction of wrinkles, with reduction in redness and softer, smoother, rehydrated skin.

  Improved Skin Texture

  After 1 Treatment per week for 4 weeks; 41% improvement in skin texture and smoothness, showing hydration and cell turnover increase and after 3 treatments per week for 4 weeks 95% showed an improvement in texture, firmness and skin tone.

  Increased Blood Flow

  After 3 Treatments per week for 4 weeks; 95% confirmed skin looked brighter and plumper.

•  How often do I need to use faceLITE?

  For best results we recommend that you treat for 3-5 days a week for a minimum of 4 weeks.

  We recommend maintenance treatments to ensure you keep your skin looking younger and fresher.

•  Can I use faceLITE with my own skincare

  faceLITE has been proven in trials to greatly improve skin parameters such as hydration, texture and pigmentation. faceLITE improves tissue oxygenation and blood flow and therefore absorption of skin care will be greatly improved.

  faceLITE is compatible with most normal skin care routines although we do highly recommend using it in conjunction with the faceLITE peel pads and hydrogel mask for best results.

•  Can I combine faceLITE with other aesthetic treatments?

  Yes, faceLITE can be combined with more invasive treatments such as botox, peels, injectables and laser resurfacing; it can help in the healing process and help to reduce bruising and swelling due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

•  Does the LED mask have to be used with the hydrogel mask?

  No. The studies show it works without the hydrogel to stimulate collagen and the clinical studies show wrinkle improvement. The hydrogel does not improve the collagen production it is merely a boost for the hydration levels. The clinical results are achieved without.

•  Can I use other sheet masks?

  You can but be aware that you may not be getting the full benefits of the LED mask. Other hydrogel masks do not have the correct mesh size or thickness to allow the light through.

•  Can the FaceLITE help with rosacea and redness?

  Yes and we would recommend it alongside our cleanse and conditioner spray. The faceLITE helps reduce the inflammation and calm the redness while the cleanse and conditioner will help with the bacterial element of rosacea.

•  Why don’t we use blue light?

  Our main aim is to treat wrinkles and we personally believe that blue light is best used in a professional setting using the correct eye safety.

•  Can it still help with acne?

  Yes. Although we don’t use blue light usually associated with treating acne, we have still seen massive improvements. Again, we would suggest using alongside out cleanser for the bacterial element of acne and the LED mask will help with inflammation and redness. Red and infra-red can also help with any acne scarring used over a long period of time.

•  My mask is plugged in but it’s still not working?

  For the faceLITE LED mask to work it CANNOT be plugged into the mains. When fully charged unplug from the mains and press the on button on the controller. If it is still not working then you may have a faulty mask and will need to contact us via the website.

•  What are the wavelengths and joules emitted?

  It’s 18 joules which is equivalent to the cumulative dose that Omnilux delivers if you use it 3x week for ten mins it’s the same as using Omnilux twice a week for twenty mins . Difference is how close to the face it is.

  We use red and near infra red
  Red: 630nm+/-10nm.
  NIR: 830nm+/-17.5nm

•  What power source does the mask use?

  The faceLITE uses a lithium-ion battery rated at 9.62Wh / 2200mAH. If you are travelling by air, the battery should be carried in carry-on baggage and not checked-in. The device must be completely switched off.

•  Is it FDA approved?

  We are FDA cleared. No LED device is ‘approved’ they are cleared.

•  What does it mean when you talk about having clinical trials?

  This means we have carried out clinical trials using faceLITE on these specific wavelengths and energy output. faceLITE is the result of over 20 years’ experience in LED research. We were the people to first discover that red and infra-red together give the best treatment for wrinkles and we constantly do clinical trials to prove the efficacy of this device. Responsible LED companies should have their OWN data tested on their product.

•  Why can’t I use FaceLITE whilst pregnant?

  None of our clinical trials are done on pregnant women so we do not know the affects it has on the baby. We have never heard of any adverse effects of LED and pregnancy but we cannot be sure.

•  Is the decoLITE safe to be used around the area of the thyroid?

  Yes, there have been no reported incidents of light therapy affecting the thyroid gland. Recently a clinical study demonstrated that after a 16-week course of light therapy treatments of the neck, there were no changes to the morphology of the thyroid and parathyroid glands and no effect on Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) up to 6 months later.

•  What is the warranty length for FaceLITE?

  It is 2 years and must be ,registered on the website.

•  How long will my faceLITE last?

  LED bulbs themselves can last for 5-10 years, however we are unable to determine the life of the other elements, as it’s often determined by how the product is cared for. We offer a 2 year warranty which covers all areas of the mask, including the LEDs during that period.

•  Are you the creators of the first flexible LED mask?
